Hot on the heels of the well-received Godot 4.5 launch last month, the Godot team led by Thaddeus Crews has rolled out Godot 4.5.1 stable on October 15, 2025. This swift maintenance update squashes ~92 bugs across 2D, 3D, animation, physics, rendering, and more, with contributions from 50 community members. Perfect timing for devs like me building Simple Farms—no more weird Skeleton pose corruption or joypad vibration mix-ups! 🎮
Safe to upgrade? Absolutely—*but back up your projects or use Git just in case.* The team emphasizes this in their [official announcement](https://godotengine.org/article/maintenance-release-godot-4-5-1/).
Key highlights:
- Animation: Fixed “Reset on Save” breaking multi-Skeleton scenes.
- Physics: Jolt fixes for joints, CCD, and manifold bugs.
- Rendering: Better compatibility, glow, LightmapGI, and D3D12 stability.
- Editor: Smoother remote tree selection, autocomplete, and font handling.
- Export/Porting: Android cleanup, Metal compiler fixes, macOS permissions, and Wayland/X11 tweaks.
No known incompatibilities with 4.5—upgrade encouraged!

Stay stable, keep creating! 🚀
